But, they have their squad strengthened by the signing of a long term contract by their talented youngster Bukayo Saka, who has committed his future for the Gunners.
Saka commits future at Arsenal
Bukayo Saka was once again the highlights in this season for Arsenal and contributed closely to its title-chasing season. Along with the likes of fellow winger Gabriel Martinelli and striker Gabriel Jesus, they had almost snatched the title away from Pep’s side but owing to a string of stalemates at the business end of the season saw them handing over the title to City. But one will never forget the “Saka-mania” that was the headline of this season for the Gunners.
The saga to continue
He played a crucial role in Arsenal’s title chase, contributing 25 goals and assists, and is reportedly set to continue this amazing performances for the next few seasons as he signed a four-year contract with Arteta’s side. At the age of 21, he is confident of the environment that Arsenal provides him in his growth and has been a star of the tea, since the age of 8.
“I’m happy to stay here”
Saka believes that Arsenal has been his home and this club would contribute to his success in the coming days. He has been a breakthrough star for the “Gunners” and this season might just have given the onus for him to stay, simultaneously giving joy to the Arsenal supporters all over the world.
He was heard saying, “I think I have everything to become the best player I can be, and that’s why I’m happy to stay here and be here for the future. “
Speaking about the family at Arsenal, he quoted, “Then I have all the right people around me in terms of family, and when I come to the training ground, my teammates, the coaching staff”.
He had made his Arsenal debut in 2018, and since then, has been a pivot for the club. He believes that the club has been going in the right direction despite missing out the League title. But, looking on the positive side, the Gunners are going to play in the Champions League for the first time next season since 2016/17 season.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta highlighted this signing as a very important and promising way in the club’s future as he has always emphasized on young talents. He was heard speaking, “Retaining our best young talents is key to our continued progress and Bukayo represents such an important part of our squad now and for the future.” This newly signed contract will see him at the club up to 2027.
