Barcelona is boosted by the return of prolific French winger Ousmane Dembele, just before the business end of the season, as the Catalan club prepares to host The Andalusians, in an all important tie in Camp Nou.
The Blaugranes are getting ready to get their hands on their first La Liga triumph after 2019, as they are well on verse to clinch the trophy after 4 years. They have cemented their position on the top of the table, 11 points ahead of their arch rivals Real Madrid. But, loss against Rayo Vallecano in the last midweek fixture might have bruised them, which they would look to overturn today, in front of their home support.
Return would boost attack
Dembele had suffered a hamstring injury and was sidelined since January, and had missed some crunch ties in this duration. Finally, his return would boost the morale of Xavi after a poor string of games, in the last few matches which include monotonous stalemates against Girona and Getafe, after winning against Atletico Madrid to firm their grip on the top.
All praise for the player
Xavi had always been a superfan of Dembele, as he has praised the winger once again in the pre-match press conference. He was speaking quite highly of him, saying, “Dembele is a player who can make the most difference in the team one-on-one”. Fans should also breath a sigh of relief as they see Dembele’s name on the squad, as he would look to make an impact instantly when he is fielded.
It would be seen if Xavi names him in the starting eleven or give him a super substitute role. Barca skipper Busquets would also like to make a comeback after he stayed suspended for the Vallecas trip.
