Harry Kane: England captain scores brace on home debut as Bayern eases past FC Augsburg by 3-1

England skipper Harry Kane bags a brace on home debut at Allianz Arena as his club FC Bayern Munich breezes past Bavarian rivals FC Augsburg in the second match week of Bundesliga. The defending champions, have indeed found a potent no.9 in Kane, after Lewandowski decided to ply his trade in Bayern’s nemesis, FC Barcelona.

Harry Kane has started his “hurri-kane”

Harry Kane has been one of the top stars to be trending in the transfer market scenario over the last few months. He was ‘reluctantly’ sold to German serial winners by Spurs chief Daniel Levy, as he wanted his ‘favorite’ star to continue for one more season at the North London club. Kane has been one of the legendary strikers in the Premier League, and stands on second position in the Premier League all-time top goal scorers’ list, with his numbers 47 shy of Premier League legend Alan Shearer.

But, Kane’s trophy drought has led him to end up at Thomas Tuchel’s Bundesliga side, who were adjudged champions last season courtesy a last-minute Jamal Musiala screamer, and snatched the trophy from their arch rivals, Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, Bayern were desperate to grab hold of a traditional no.9, after their favorite Robert Lewandowski has left the club to try his luck out at La Liga champions FC Barcelona. Several pundits had discussed that Kane might not be as successful as a striker at the Bundesliga owing to the failure of Sadio Mane last season, who was brought on deck from Liverpool, but after netting three goals in two games for Bayern, Kane could just have proven his critics wrong about his caliber.

Perfect from the spot

Bayern, having fielded their strongest eleven to continue their winning streak, went one up on the 32nd minute, when a shot from Leroy Sane was thwarted by Augsburg keeper Dahmen, but the ball ricocheted off Augsburg defender Udokhai, thus leading the hosts to a 1-0 lead, owing a blunder from the opponent defense.

To continue their quest for goals, Kane and Bayern continued to play highly pressing football, and soon were rewarded with a spot-kick, when Augsburg star Niklas Dorsch appeared to have handed the ball inside the penalty area, thus forcing referee to hand Bayern a penalty. Harry was the man who came up to score his first home goal, and he is not a man who would squander this opportunity of letting a goal go away so easily. He was aplomb with his shot, thus firing Bayern 2-0 up within the first half.

With a 2-0 up score line in the first half, Bayern could comfortably go ahead to win the game, but Kane’s thirst for goals could not be sufficed with a single goal, as a superb ball which was played behind Kane, as he fired his shot at the Augsburg net, thus Bayern comfortably edging past Augsburg 3-0. With two goals yesterday, he has scored three goals in his last two games, slowly on his way to become the leading goal scorer after two games in the league. The third goal seemed to be a final nail in the coffin for Tuchel’s side, as although Augsburg pulled one back through Beljo, it was not enough to secure an away victory at the Allianz arena, handing Bayern a perfect star after two fixtures.

Harry Kane has initiated his “hurri-Kane”, and it would be an ominous signal for opponent defenders in the coming weekends, as they would chalk out methods to stop the raging English captain.
