Harry Kane is once again in the headlines as German champions Bayern Munich has submitted an official bid for the England striker, as club chairman Daniel Levy’s “worst fear” of letting his favorite striker go has surfaced once again. Kane has one more year left on his contract but he has been linked to several heavyweights since the beginning and the rumors have strengthened after Bayern has submitted an official proposal.
Bayern Munich submits official proposal for English star Kane
Harry Kane has been one of the star performers in and out for Tottenham Hotspurs over several seasons. A stellar career to reckon with, he has broken and created several records and set several milestones which will be very difficult to break in the years to come. The England international has been one of the top players to don the Spurs jersey, as along with several renowned mates like Son-Heung Min, Lucas Moura, he has etched his name among one of the “untouchables” of Tottenham.
As a result of his success, he will obviously be linked with several giants as Manchester United was rumored to be linked with him earlier this summer. But, maybe Bayern has practically started the “war” for Kane as they had officially submitted their offer. He was also linked with several Real Madrid transfer rumors as he has many admirers there, which has not surfaced yet.
But, according to reports, it says that Spurs would not be accepting that fee as Daniel Levy is reluctant on selling his best player to a foreign club.
A legend for the Spurs
Harry Kane is sitting on 213 goals in the top goal scorers list in the Premier League, 47 shy of Alan Shearer, who is the torch bearer for leading the tally of goals. Thus, the top scorer epitaph will be beckoning Kane but he might be tempted for a move to the foreign owing to a lack of silverware, which he might get once his move to Bayern materializes. The prolific striker, sadly, has never won a trophy, be it in international or in club level, which he will want to change the history.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich could be a well-deserved destination for the England star as Thomas Tuchel’s side is considered to be a contender for next season’s UEFA Champions League, after they snatched the Bundesliga title away from rivals Borussia Dortmund in the last minutes, courtesy a Jamal Musiala screamer.
German side is the frontrunner for signing the star, but it depends on both the sides as they need to agree on a 60 million pound deal which might be subject to reluctance from Daniel Levy.
Will Harry Kane be seen in the Bundesliga donning Bayern Munich colors next season? The next few weeks will give an indication about that.
