Inter Miami: Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets might be the latest entrant of the MLS club

Sergio Busquets will be the latest signing of the David Beckham owned club Inter Miami, as he is touted to join hands with his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi from the next season. The club’s billionaire co-owner has taken over social media, teasing fans and supporters worldwide about a double signing, where Busquets is reported to be the first one to join.

Inter Miami teased supporters by dropping a hint of signing new players

Inter Miami has been one of the MLS clubs this season which has been on the move since a long time on the transfer market circuit. First, they had signed the legendary Lionel Messi after the stalwart announced that he will not be playing with PSG anymore from the next season. Despite surging interests from his former club FC Barcelona and Saudi club Al-Hilal, it was David Beckham owned club that won the three-throng race to sign the greatest of all time, as they announced their signing which will be effective from July.

Since then, Miami has been looking out for some more of their signings as they are on the verge of signing former Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets, who has played his last game in the Blaugrana colors, after leading Barca to his ninth La Liga title. Busquets has been one of the greatest ever to don the Blaugrana stripes as he had made the cut since a long time, playing from Pep Guardiola’s time, achieving several accolades which labels him as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Another legend to join?

Busquets will be joining as the Designated Player as the club would look to fill in the three DP slots each club has been offered. After Messi’s signing, it is only feasible that he will be joined by his long time mate from Barcelona Sergio Busquets as the entire world is closely monitoring Miami’s situation. Argentine World Cup Angel Di Maria also said that Messi could also be joined by another friend from Barcelona, Jordi Alba, who has also decided to depart the club after a decade, as a result it would just be a dream come true for the American fans as they will be able to witness the troika together for the first time.

Millionaire co-owner Jorge Mas has posted a cryptic note on his social media handle, which depicts three blank Inter Miami shirts, one of which will be allocated to Messi, thus leaving the fans in suspense as who would be the other two. The slot for DPs are exempted from fee surge as they will come in normal and sizeable wage.
