Jadon Sancho, the Manchester United outcast is set to be banned from all first team activities after he was banished from the training grounds, as it is reported that the former Borussia Dortmund star has been removed from the dining table meetings, as he is “banned from eating” with his teammates. As of the present scenario, his return to the first team seems bleaker, as he might be forced to separate from his colleagues.
Jadon Sancho, the outcast
Jadon Sancho has been one of the top stars in the English football circuit over the years. Having started his career at Manchester City’s academy before rising up the ranks and plying his trade at German side Borussia Dortmund, Jadon has earned several laurels to his name, as his meteoric rise was well privileged by several heavyweight tacticians. Owing to his exploits in the Dortmund jersey, he was summoned by Manchester United, where he joined in 2021, in hope of continuing his stellar career, and adding a feather to his crown of playing for the Red Devils, in the Theatre of Dreams. But, recently a rift between Sancho and boss Ten Hag has surfaced which is the main focus of attention, as this gradually increasing difference might bring the star’s downfall, in what would be one of the tragic moments in a youngster’s career.
Reportedly, Sancho came into notice when he had accused boss Ten Hag, saying that he was always the “scapegoat”, after the Dutchman had affirmed his exclusion of Sancho from team squad against Arsenal by saying he did not train well with the team. Following which, Sancho took to social media, where he said in “X”, formerly Twitter, that it was completely false and he was always at the receiving end, labelling him as the “scapegoat’. Although he has deleted the post amidst widespread criticism, but as it stands currently, he is nowhere closer to returning in the first team. He had previously refused to apologize to Ten Hag owing his misbehavior, which further enhanced his exile.
To dine with academy players
According to The Daily Mirror sports, it outlines that the former Manchester City academy product has been banished from eating with the first-team players, as he is compelled to eat with the Academy stars. Thus, adding a final nail to the coffin, Sancho has thus been banned from using every facility at the Carrington training ground. Ten Hag, on the other hand, was asked to reply about his treatment of Sancho when he faced the journalists about a probable dressing room unrest reports. He was heard saying, “I don’t know if it’s a leak but I know opinion, I know my players. Everyone can make suggestions, we are okay with it. At United, you have to win every game so it doesn’t change anything. As always, it’s about how we play against Burnley, there’s no easy game, definitely not against Burnley.”
Reportedly, Manchester United have endured a fracas start to this season, as they stand on a mediocre rank on the Premier League table, garnering nine points from six games, having three wins and three defeats. They witnessed a horrific defeat at the hands of Gunners, when they conceded two goals in the dying minutes, eventually losing the game 1-3. Ten Hag is without his star players like Mason Mount and youngster Kobbie Mainoo, and they are expected to make a return in the next games. With a lacunae of attacking players which sees Mason Greenwood loaned at Getafe after widespread unrest of his inclusion following trials to Antony being banned from playing until further investigation, Ten Hag has now inflicted more pain upon the attacking sector with Sancho’s demotion.
He further said, “We know how intense they play football, we know their approach, I like the approach from them, the adventure, high intensity and dynamic in their game, so we have to play our best.” They have finally tasted victory when they defeated Burnley in the last game, after an outrageous Jonny Evans assist saw Bruno Fernandes blast the goal, thus returning to winning ways.
