French international and Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has been hopping on new adventures by taking a tour of his father’s native nation for the first time ever this week, that is, Cameroon.
Kylian Mbappe ‘honoured’ to be in Cameroon
As black clouds of doubt thunder over his future in the Parisian club, fans from all over the nation have swarmed the airport in the capital city of Yaunde to show their supper for the24-year-old icon the moment he stepped foot on the country for his 3-day long trip.
The World Cup winner went to meet Cameroon’s Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute and said that it was an honour for him to be there in the country of his origin with his family to see the people of the African country who have always shown him love.
Before going to play a friendly game of football against the second division team of Cameroon Vent d’Etoudi FC, Kylian spent a wonderful afternoon by playing a bascketball match against former NBA player Joakim Noah.
On Saturday he had also been scheduled to visit the home village of his father Wilfried, who his also a football coach and his agent. He will also be travelling to the economic capital of the country Douala.
Kylian Mbappe back to his native country of Cameroon
Kylian Mbappe would be taking full advantage of this tour of Cameroon by having visits to schools which are funded by his “Inspired by KM” charity trust. One of them also specializes in teaching and training of children who are suffering from impaired hearing.
Mbappe also announced that he had multiple youth projects lined up to be launched in the country and said that they were pushing hard for a bright future in the African country.
When asked about if Mbappe would be remaining in PSG or transferring to any of the rumoured clubs, he seemed to evade the question and stated that:
“Kylian is in Cameroon at the moment and that is the most important thing”.
