Liverpool Sign Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig for £60m

Premier League giants, Liverpool have finally completed their signing of the midfielder from RB Leipzig, Dominik Szoboszlai in a 5-year deal for £60m, which is reportedly subject to a work permit.

According to the latest reports, the Hungary international has signed this promising five-year-long deal with the Merseyside club.

The 22-year-old is chronologically the second signing of Liverpool this summer transfer window, which has enriched their midfield with more depth, especially after the signing of the Alexis Mac Allister for £35 from Brighton.

Dominik Szoboszlai calls Klopp ‘best coach’ after transfer

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has his reasons for why be thinks that Szoboszlai would fit like a glove into the squad. According to him, the Hungarian midfielder can be molded into a multi-functional player which would allow Klopp a lot of flexibility in his tactics.

The move didn’t take too long to take shape despite Liverpool eyeing up Chelsea’s Mason Mount as he is currently in the last 12 months of his contract with the Blues. However, Szoboszlai proved to be a better option since Mason is a more expensive side.

Dominik Szoboszlai’s official statement on joining Liverpool

In a statement by the player himself, Szoboszlai stated that it was really good and that he enjoyed his last few remaining days and now he was looking forward to getting to know everyone in his new club better.

“Really historic club, really good players, good coach, everything is good. For me it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good,” said Dominik Szoboszlai boasting about how he was proud of his new club.
