Cristiano decides on Saudi exit to meet generational rival in Spain

Wonders in football never cease to amaze the fans. While some decide to stay in a club for years and depart, only to return to that same club to continue the legacy that they built over the decades.

According to El Nacional, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has decided on a Saudi exit by leaving Al Nassr, as he is ‘unhappy’.

Unhappy Ronaldo to Return to Real Madrid

Lionel Messi’s generational rival joined Al Nassr in this season after an expected fall-out with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, which saw his contract terminated due to mutual consent.

But now, as it stands, he is ‘unhappy’ with his Saudi move and wants to return to the club in which he had built a legacy.

He had signed a lucrative 200 million pound contract with the Saudi giants, which saw him make into the list of Forbes’ list of highest-paid soccer players in 2023, consolidating his position on third, close behind rivals Messi and Mbappe.

Ronaldo vs Messi: One last dance, maybe?

According to transfer market speculations, Messi is not in good touch with the PSG board and is expected to return to his “home” Barcelona again, as his link-up rumours with the Blaugranes are increasing every day. We have heard about the changes and modifications Barca needs to make in order to make this move legendary, as it might be the last club Messi rightly plays before retiring.

Now, if Ronaldo wants to come back to his favourite club, this duo would once again light up the Spanish League with their plays, impeccable shots and immaculate accuracy.

According to local media, Ronaldo seems to have been struggling with the local culture and linguistic skills, which are making his stay difficult at the Asian giants.

Apparently Madrid president Perez has assured that Ronaldo will not “lack work” at Santiago Bernabeu, which was his home from 2009 till 2018.

Club Ambassador

Ronaldo has been a Real stalwart since his playing days here. So, he would likely be offered an ambassador role after he hangs up his boots. This role was asked by Messi, too, as both of them would like to reignite their rivalry once they join in Spain.

If the accuracy of the rumours are true, then Ronaldo would join the club, and then he might join hands with club legends Ronaldo Nazario and Roberto Carlos in becoming the decorated ambassadors of the club.
