Manchester United set to add a Moroccan touch to their line-up after they have secured the loan deal of Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat, on a deadline day transfer saga, as the Moroccan star has decided to try out his luck at the “Theatre of Dreams”.

Sofyan Amrabat, Morocco’s most sought after star after their brilliant run in the semifinals of World Cup last year in Qatar, where they have defeated the likes of Portugal and Spain before getting ousted by eventual runners-up France, has finally decided to switch his allegiance to the English giants, on a final day of a long transfer saga between him and the Premier League giants. One of the brilliant midfielders for the Asian country, who is predominantly known for his exploits in the middle, as his tactical prowess ranges from penetrative passes and versatile attacking mindset, thus proving to be an asset when it comes to possession football. It is reported that he has been on the radar of several heavyweights like FC Barcelona since World Cup, but he wanted to join Premier League legends Manchester United, thus trying to pursue his dreams in the “Theatre of Dreams”.
Loan with an option to buy
According to reports from various news outlets, Amrabat has joined Ten Hag’s forces from Fiorentina for a loan fee of 10 million euros, with the deal comprising a possible buy option next year after completion of his loan deal, for 25 million euros. Amrabat expressed his elation in joining the “club of his dreams”, as he said, “I’ve had to be patient for this moment, but I’m someone who always listens to my heart, and now I am representing the club of my dreams. I am a passionate player; I want to bring that energy to the squad, and I will put everything into every action I take for the team.”
Amrabat has previous exposure of collaborating with Ten Hag when the boss was plying his trade with Dutch side Utrecht, thus having the knowledge of Ten Hag’s style of play. The Moroccan star would be eager to work with his boss once again, hoping to spice things up in the midfield, combining with Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro.
United’s sporting director John Murtough has expressed their desire and satisfaction in signing Amrabat, as he was heard saying, “His committed, high-energy approach to the game fits perfectly with the group that we are building here. We know that Sofyan’s mentality, dynamism and technical qualities will help the squad as we look to achieve success in all competitions this season.”
