Toni Kroos hits out at Veiga’s transfer

Gabriel Veiga, one of the talented midfielders of the coming age, who is considered to be one of the top generational talents, has decided to join forces with Saudi side Al-Ahli, as the Spaniard will be plying his trade at the Gulf country. Saudi Pro League, which has emerged as one of the potential powerhouses of several European heavyweights, would look to bring some more players on their deck, as they would want to increase their importance among the elites. With already top stars like Neymar, Ronaldo and Mane among several others on board, Saudi Pro League’s business is not over yet as they would look to reinforce the status of their league with some more top class signings.

Gabriel Veiga becomes the latest star to feature in the Saudi side Al-Ahli, after they had acquired the services of former Liverpool and Manchester City greats like Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez, respectively. Veiga has been touted as one of the upcoming future stars for La Roja, and has already been on the radar of several European heavyweights like La Liga champions FC Barcelona. The acquirement of Veiga declares the uprising influence of Saudi League in the transfer target after a hefty injection in Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

But, amidst the entire transfer “bubbling” in Saudi, every player who has moved to Saudi are those who have already passed their prime and in the swansong stage of their career, which have paved way for Saudi league to pry and bring them on deck, which would bolster the status quo of the Gulf country. Among this, Veiga’s transfer would be talked about a lot as he is just 21 years and has much of his prime which he could input in Europe.

Legendary judgement from Kroos

It seems that although Veiga’s decision to opt Saudi at his prime has raised a few eyebrows, it was legendary midfielder from Real Madrid, Toni Kroos, who seems to have been disappointed with his transfer. Kroos has been one of the best in business on the midfield set-up, be it for the La Liga giants Barcelona or for his national country Germany, and has always stepped up to deliver some of his masterclasses, in big tournaments. He would always be remembered for his cheeky free-kick goal from a tough angle in the World Cup game in 2018, against Sweden, as he had managed to leave everyone in awe of his talents.

A member of the legendary and enterprising troika, Kroos-Casemiro-Modric, who has went on to achieve several accolades for “Los Blancos”, Kroos has commented “embarrassing” on the official transfer post of Veiga, posted by the football transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano.

Kroos’ comment might have created a stir at Veiga’s shot to glory at Saudi Pro League, but he would be blessed to share the dressing room with top stars like Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino, who would look to inculcate their Premier League qualities in to the youngster which might help him in his progress, as he looks to flourish his career at the Gulf country. Meanwhile, on the back of consecutive wins, Al-Ahli has been on the driver’s seat, after they had brought on deck former Red Bull Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle, aiming for a superb season in the tournament.
