Premier League giants, Arsenal have just announced that centre-back William Saliba has signed a brand new long-term deal with the club. Another confirmation came from the club that Saliba would be gracing the jersey number two shirt during his time in the club from now on.

According to trusted sources, the French international had been in contact with the club regarding a new contract for quite a few months. Arsenal, as well, have not kept it a secret that want to bind the player with themselves for a long-term scenario, revealing it first back in 2022 September.
As per reports, the new deal signed by the 22-year-old will take him with the Gunners until 2027, that is, four long years.
Saliba had previously spent three years away on a loan deal back at his home country, France. However, after he was back, he gained a key role in the squad for Arsenal last season for their title race.
He made a total of 33 appearances for the club, who had one of their best sprees in the Premier League after a drought of years.
Saliba’s true importance to the Gunners was felt the most when he suffered a back injury during the Europa League round of 16’s second leg tie with Portuguese club, Sporting CP. With a loss in the match, Arsenal also saw their fortune go downhill in the PL as Saliba was ruled out for the season.
